Rewarded Review

I don't normally bother to write reviews but I had to for this one. I had a severe case of a damaged skin barrier ever since my previous dermatologist used too high a concentration for my TCA peel. My usual cleanser and moisturiser didn't work even though I had no problems with the CO2 laser prior to that. Even trying the new dermatologist’s in-house Korean milk cleanser didn't work. LRP's Cicaplast and Avene's Cicalfate also didn't work or they did but left my skin a shiny mess. Serums like Vichy's Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid or LRP's Niacinamide also didn't work. So most of the time, I had the urge to rub or scratch my face out till it bled. Kinda like Eczema but not exactly. Then I recalled how 10 years ago, I had a very bad case of cystic acne due to puberty. Similarly, many cleansers and moisturisers didn't work and they all left me with a shiny face. I got fed up and desperate, and took advice from someone on Reddit about a DIY oat cleanser. Long story short, oats seem to work really well for my oily skin type when it comes to inflammation and overall skin health. It’s Day 4 of using the Calm + Restore, Nourishing Oat Cleanser and the Calm + Restore, Skin Therapy Balm and it’s been good so far. No, it doesn’t completely stop the itch but it does most of it. 90-99%. If I do feel itchy, it’s not so bad that I cannot focus on my work or will I have the urge to rub/scratch my face out like before. So far, I only have to stroke/touch the few spots occasionally so that’s a big win for me. Visually, it doesn’t even look like I have inflammation! I also bought the Calm + Restore, Oat Gel Moisturizer to try but haven’t yet.
